Be part of the Robotics Challenge

The Robotics Challenge is the newest event in the Tech Challenge. Can you design and build your own programmable robot, and compete against schools from all over Queensland? There are three challenges you will compete in, and there are categories for primary, lower secondary and upper secondary students:

• Dance - Design a robot to dance to music for 1 - 2 minutes. You must entertain, delight and thrill the audience with your robot’s moves.
• Rescue - “Help!”… Someone has sent a distress call, asking for rescue. The victim has fallen into a swamp. Your mission is to design, build and program a robot to rescue the victim as quickly as possible.
• Novelty speed race - Design a single robot to race around an oval track for a maximum of 3 laps.

Students get a hands-on introduction to the exciting fields of robotics, electronics, hardware and software. It’s a fun and highly motivating chance to learn about teamwork and share in technology with friends.
